Confessions of an Insectophobic

Confessions of an Insectophobic
I am Insectophobic. It means that I am a person who is afraid of insects. They are creepy crawlies and make me feel like puking every time I see them. The creepy crawlies that I hate most are the cockroaches and lizards. When ever I see them, I would scream and ran away in fear.
Whenever I think of cockroaches, I would remember the encounter that I will remember for the rest of my life. I went home on that day and went straight to my room to do homework as most of the homework that I had to do were due the very next day. After a few hours of doing my homework, I felt thirsty and went into the kitchen to get a cup of drink.
I had to walk past the living room to get to the kitchen, so I took my time, I did not know why, but I looked at the dustbin. I saw a cockroach trying to crawl out of the dustbin! I screamed and ran back to my room, and locked up the door. My brother was in the room too, he looked up and asked me what had happened, I told him about it and he started to panic too. An hour later, we had the courage to open the room door, took out the batons we made out of newspaper. I took the courage to whack the cockroach with all my might, and it died! My brother was afraid that it did not die, so he whacked it with his baton many times in a row. I found out that it was the snacks that we ate yesterday that attracted the cockroach to “visit” our house!
I learnt a lesson that very day. It is to not leave any food laying around in order not to have lizards and cockroaches “visiting” our house.
